The Odissi classical dance form hails from Odisha India..Odisha has its ancient name as kalinga and then Utkal and now Odisha. This dance is also performed by men and women in Puri for Lord Jagnnath. There was a time when there was a massive trading had happened between Bali, Java, Sumatra etc from Odisha. Now also this is celebrated as 'Bali Yatra' in Cuttack Odisha.
